Virginia High School Basketball - Atlee overwhelms Powhatan
December 16, 2022: Mechanicsville, VA 23116 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Atlee Raiders (Mechanicsville, VA) and the visiting Powhatan Indians (Powhatan, VA), saw Atlee's basketball squad wallop Powhatan by a tally of 78-56.
With the victory, Atlee improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Freeman (Richmond, VA) to play the Mavericks in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 28. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Freeman won 68-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Banner Christian (Chesterfield, VA)
Next, the Indians encounter the Clover Hill Cavaliers (Midlothian, VA) in a Dominion test, on Wednesday, January 4. Powhatan will attempt to advance on its 2-6 season record. The Cavaliers go into the test with a 1-6 record after their 79-43 league loss to Monacan (Richmond, VA).
