In Friday's non-league outing, the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) basketball squad nipped the visiting Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders (Raleigh, NC), by a margin of 70-66.

The Patriots (3-2) will now prepare for their outing against Wakefield (Raleigh, NC). The Wolverines go into the non-league outing with a 4-4 record. In their last outing, Wakefield was tipped by Box Elder (Brigham City, UT), 52-48, in a non-league outing.

The Crusaders now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Garner for a non-league outing on Saturday, December 17. Cardinal Gibbons will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 69-63 league win over Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 6-1.
