Texas High School Basketball - Central Catholic thwarts John Paul II
December 16, 2022: San Antonio, TX 78215 The Central Catholic Buttons (San Antonio, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting John Paul II Guardians (New Braunfels, TX), 53-45 in Friday's non-league test.
The Buttons (14-2) will now prepare for their test against Chaminade (West Hills, CA). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Chaminade notched a victory over St. Bonaventure (Ventura, CA), 55-47, in a non-league test.
The Guardians now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they host St. Michael's for a non-league test on Saturday, December 17. John Paul II will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 73-58 non-league win over Houston Christian (Houston, TX). The Crusaders record now stands at 12-4.
