Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cheylin Cougars (Bird City, KS) and the visiting Triplains/Brewster Titans (Brewster, KS), saw Cheylin's basketball squad hold off Triplains/Brewster by a tally of 48-41.

With the victory, Cheylin improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Deerfield (Deerfield, KS) to confront the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 3-4. Deerfield won 53-42 in their recent league challenge against Moscow (Moscow, KS)

Next up, the Titans confront the Greeley County Jackrabbits (Tribune, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 20. Triplains/Brewster will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Jackrabbits come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 74-42 non-league win over Quinter (Quinter, KS).
