Cleveland Storm (Rio Rancho, NM) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM), 64-59 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cleveland upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Storm host Centennial (Las Cruces, NM) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 1-6. Centennial lost 47-39 in their recent non-league bout against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM)

Next up, the Trojans play the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 17. Mayfield will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 60-51 non-league loss to Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM).
