Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Strathmore Spartans (Strathmore, CA) and the visiting Golden Valley Bulldogs (Bakersfield, CA), saw Strathmore's basketball squad hold off Golden Valley by a tally of 42-40.

With the victory, Strathmore improves its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Taft (Taft, CA) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 17.
