Harper Longhorns (Harper, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Medina Bobcats (Medina, TX), 44-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Harper upgrades its record to 1-11 on the season. The Longhorns host San Saba (San Saba, TX) to play the Armadillos in a 2A Region IV District 29 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Armadillos go into the bout with a record of 6-2. San Saba won 70-42 in their recent non-league bout against Lometa (Lometa, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Nueces Canyon Panthers (Barksdale, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 31 bout, on Monday, December 19. Medina will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record.
