In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Timpson Bears basketball team scored a tight 45-42 triumph over the Lipan Indians.

In their next game, the Bears face the Martins Mill Mustangs (Ben Wheeler, TX) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 17. Timpson will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 12-3 record after their 61-53 non-league win over New Home (New Home, TX).

With the defeat, Lipan moves to 13-1 on the year. The Indians travel to Poolville (Poolville, TX) to face the Monarchs in a 2A Region II District 11 match on Tuesday, December 20. The Monarchs enter the match with a record of 9-6.
