Texas High School Basketball - Sundown crushes Smyer
December 16, 2022: Sundown, TX 79372 Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Smyer Bobcats (Smyer, TX), 53-27 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Sundown upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Roughnecks host Post (Post, TX) to play the Antelopes in a 2A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Antelopes come into the bout with a record of 0-11. Post lost 68-24 in their recent non-league bout against New Deal (New Deal, TX)
Next up, the Bobcats play the Lockney Longhorns (Lockney, TX) in a 2A Region I District 4 bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Smyer will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 47-39 non-league win over Crosbyton (Crosbyton, TX).
