Ohio High School Basketball - Valley nips SPIRE Institute
December 16, 2022: Lucasville, OH 45648 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Valley Indians (Lucasville, OH) and the visiting SPIRE Institute SPIRE (Geneva, OH), saw Valley's basketball squad hold off SPIRE Institute by a tally of 59-57.
With the victory, Valley improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Eastern (Beaver, OH) to play the Eagles in a Southern Ohio II challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Eastern won 62-59 in their recent league challenge against Wheelersburg (Wheelersburg, OH)
Next up, the SPIRE play the Archbishop Hoban Knights (Akron, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. SPIRE Institute will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record.
