In Friday's non-league match, the host Hoover Buccaneers basketball team scored a decisive 77-51 triumph over the Archer Tigers.

In their next game, the Buccaneers meet the River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 17. Hoover will attempt to move on its 16-0 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 10-0 record after their 65-39 non-league win over Hillcrest (Tuscaloosa, AL).

With the defeat, Archer moves to 8-1 on the year. The Tigers travel to Central (Phenix City, AL) to meet the Red Devils in a non-league match on Saturday, December 17. The Red Devils enter the match with a record of 6-4. Central lost 40-37 in their recent non-league match against Parker (Birmingham, AL)
