The Elizabeth Minutemen basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Saddle River Day Rebels to 48 in the Minutemen non-league victory on Saturday.

The Minutemen now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Union for a Mountain Valley - Mountain contest on Tuesday, December 19. Elizabeth will battle a Farmers team coming off a 72-56 non-league loss to Phillipsburg (Phillipsburg, NJ). The Farmers record now stands at 0-2.

The Rebels (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Waldwick (Waldwick, NJ). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record.
