Texas High School Basketball - Estacado crushes Horizon
December 16, 2023: El Paso, TX 79928 Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Horizon Scorpions (El Paso, TX), 77-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Estacado upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Matadors host Grapevine (Grapevine, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 5-11. Grapevine lost 56-47 in their recent league bout against Ryan (Denton, TX)
Next up, the Scorpions play the Jefferson Silver Foxes (El Paso, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Horizon will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Silver Foxes go into the bout with a 2-13 record after their 62-50 non-league loss to Ysleta (El Paso, TX).
