In Saturday's non-league outing, the GlenOak Golden Eagles (Canton, OH) basketball squad beat the visiting Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH), by a margin of 82-73.

The Golden Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Hoover (North Canton, OH). The Vikings go into the Federal outing with a 3-2 record. In their last outing, Hoover defeated Archbishop Hoban (Akron, OH), 48-39, in a non-league outing.

The Cardinals now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Sullivan East for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 26. Mentor will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 62-53 non-league loss to Gate City (Gate City, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 5-6.
