Ledyard Colonels (Ledyard, CT) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Griswold Wolverines (Griswold, CT), 59-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Ledyard upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Colonels host East Lyme (East Lyme, CT) to play the Vikings in a Eastern Connecticut I bout on Thursday, December 21. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 1-1. East Lyme won 70-46 in their recent league bout against Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Bacon Academy Bobcats (Colchester, CT) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Griswold will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 73-56 league loss to Stonington (Stonington, CT).
