Kentucky High School Basketball - Ludlow topped by Newport Central Catholic
December 16, 2023: Ludlow, KY 41016 The Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the host Ludlow Panthers to 57 in the Thoroughbreds non-league victory on Saturday.
The Thoroughbreds now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Charles for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 21. Newport Central Catholic will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 48-44 non-league loss to Dublin Coffman (Dublin, OH). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-4.
The Panthers (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bryan Station (Lexington, KY). The Defenders come into the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Bryan Station prevailed over Moore (Louisville, KY), 98-93, in a non-league contest.
