December 16, 2023: Socorro, NM 87801 The Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM) basketball crushed the host Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM), 82-37 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Buffaloes (6-0) will now prepare for their test against Reserve (Reserve, NM). The Mountaineers go into the non-league test with a 1-6 record. In their last test, Reserve was trounced by Dora (Dora, NM), 61-25, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Robertson for a non-league test on Monday, December 18. Socorro will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 95-54 non-league win over Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-1.
