Illinois High School Basketball - Metamora nips O'Fallon
December 16, 2023: O'Fallon, IL 62269 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) and the host O'Fallon Panthers (O'Fallon, IL), saw Metamora's basketball squad hold off O'Fallon by a tally of 59-58.
With the victory, Metamora improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Redbirds travel to Limestone (Bartonville, IL) to play the Rockets in a Mid-Illini challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 1-8. Limestone lost 43-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL)
Next up, the Panthers play the Glenwood Titans (Chatham, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 22. O'Fallon will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record.
