New Jersey High School Basketball - Steinert topped by Middletown South
December 16, 2023: Hamilton, NJ 08690 The Middletown South Eagles basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Steinert Spartans to 32 in the Eagles non-league victory on Saturday.
The Eagles now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Manalapan for a non-league contest on Monday, December 18. Middletown South will battle a Braves team coming off a 72-36 non-league win over Wall Township (Wall, NJ). The Braves record now stands at 1-0.
The Spartans (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Notre Dame (Lawrenceville, NJ). The Irish come into the Colonial Valley contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Notre Dame prevailed over Paul VI (Haddonfield, NJ), 71-43, in a non-league contest.
