Kentucky High School Basketball - Nicholas County knocked off by Paul Laurence Dunbar
December 16, 2023: Carlisle, KY 40311 The Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Nicholas County Bluejackets to 46 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Henry Clay for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 19. Paul Laurence Dunbar will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 59-49 non-league win over Eastern (Louisville, KY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-0.
The Bluejackets (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY). The Colonels enter the non-league contest with a 7-1 record. In their last contest, Whitley County ran past Casey County (Liberty, KY), 88-66, in a non-league contest.
