The Normal Community Ironmen basketball team (Normal, IL), was nudged 44-37 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL)

The Wildcats now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kankakee for a Southland battle on Thursday, December 21.

The Ironmen (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Rock Island (Rock Island, IL). The Rocks come into the non-league battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, Rock Island edged Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA), 70-69, in a non-league battle.
