December 16, 2023: Yazoo City, MS 39194 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Olive Branch Conquistadors (Olive Branch, MS) and the host Yazoo City Indians (Yazoo City, MS), saw Olive Branch's basketball squad hold off Yazoo City by a tally of 44-38.
With the victory, Olive Branch improves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Conquistadors travel to Grenada (Grenada, MS) to play the Chargers in a 6A Region 1 challenge on Monday, December 18. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 2-8. Grenada won 72-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Winona (Winona, MS)
Next up, the Indians play the Forest Hill Patriots (Jackson, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Yazoo City will attempt to improve on its 11-1 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 61-51 league loss to Terry (Terry, MS).
