Wisconsin High School Basketball - Verona knocked off by Onalaska
December 16, 2023: Verona, WI 53593 The Onalaska Hilltoppers basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Verona Wildcats to 53 in the Hilltoppers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Hilltoppers now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to La Crosse Logan for a Mississippi Valley contest on Tuesday, December 19. Onalaska will meet a Rangers team coming off a 84-77 league win over Sparta (Sparta, WI). The Rangers record now stands at 1-5.
The Wildcats (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Vel Phillips Memorial (Madison, WI). The Spartans enter the Big Eight contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Vel Phillips Memorial was outscored by De Pere (De Pere, WI), 74-37, in a non-league contest.
