December 16, 2023: Succasunna, NJ 07876 The Roxbury Gaels basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Somerville Pioneers to 37 in the Gaels non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Gaels now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hackettstown for a non-league contest on Monday, December 18. Roxbury will battle a Tigers team coming off a 48-44 non-league win over Vernon (Vernon, NJ). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.
The Pioneers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against North Hunterdon (Annandale, NJ). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, North Hunterdon ran past Mount Olive (Flanders, NJ), 58-37, in a non-league contest.
