The Wise Pumas basketball team (Upper Marlboro, MD), was nudged 53-52 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host St. Mary's Ryken Knights (Leonardtown, MD)

The Knights now possess a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bishop McNamara for a Washington Catholic battle on Thursday, December 21. St. Mary's Ryken will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 60-45 league win over Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-3.

The Pumas (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Laurel (Laurel, MD). The Spartans come into the Prince George's County 4A battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, Laurel was nudged by Bowie (Bowie, MD), 66-51, in a league battle.
