Maryland High School Basketball - Century nips Howard
December 16, 2023: Ellicott City, MD 21043 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Century Knights (Sykesville, MD) and the host Howard Lions (Ellicott City, MD), saw Century's basketball squad hold off Howard by a tally of 33-31.
With the victory, Century improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Hammond (Columbia, MD) to play the Golden Bears in a non-league test on Monday, December 18. The Golden Bears go into the test with a record of 4-0. Hammond won 77-9 in their recent league test against Marriotts Ridge (Marriottsville, MD)
The Lions now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Mount de Sales Academy for a non-league test on Friday, December 29. Howard will encounter a Sailors squad coming off a 53-27 non-league win over Centennial (Ellicott City, MD). The Sailors record now stands at 6-2.
