Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Van Buren Black Knights (Van Buren, OH) and the visiting Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets (Rawson, OH), saw Van Buren's basketball squad hold off Cory-Rawson by a tally of 52-49.

With the victory, Van Buren improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Black Knights travel to Bellevue (Bellevue, OH) to confront the Redmen in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 18. The Redmen come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Bellevue won 58-26 in their recent league challenge against Columbian (Tiffin, OH)
