Vermont High School Basketball - Essex crushes Mount Anthony
December 16, 2023: Essex Junction, VT 05452 Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mount Anthony Patriots (Bennington, VT), 70-26 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Essex upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Hornets host North Country Union (Newport, VT) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 1-0. North Country Union won 43-41 in their recent league bout against Bellows Free Academy (St. Albans, VT)
Next up, the Patriots play the West Rutland Golden Horde (West Rutland, VT) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Mount Anthony will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Golden Horde go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 38-29 league win over Hartford (White River Junction, VT).
