Georgia High School Basketball - South Atlanta can't hold off Gainesville
December 16, 2023: Gainesville, GA 30501 The Gainesville Red Elephants basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting South Atlanta Hornets to 35 in the Red Elephants non-league victory on Saturday.
The Red Elephants now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carrollton for a non-league contest on Monday, December 18. Gainesville will battle a Trojans team coming off a 66-50 non-league win over Trinity Christian (Sharpsburg, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 3-2.
The Hornets (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Walker (Marietta, GA). The Wolverines come into the AA Region 6 contest with a 0-3 record.
