December 16, 2023: Ruthven, IA 51358 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Okoboji Pioneers (Milford, IA) and the host Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Titans (Ruthven, IA), saw Okoboji's basketball squad hold off Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire by a tally of 47-43.
With the victory, Okoboji improves its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA) to confront the E'Hawks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 4. The E'Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Emmetsburg lost 61-32 in their recent league challenge against Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA)
Next up, the Titans confront the Sioux Central Rebels (Sioux Rapids, IA) in a Twin Lakes challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 63-52 league win over Pocahontas (Pocahontas, IA).
