Maryland High School Basketball - Largo overwhelms Laurel
December 16, 2023: Laurel, MD 20707 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Largo Lions (Upper Marlboro, MD) and the host Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD), saw Largo's basketball squad wallop Laurel by a tally of 58-14.
With the victory, Largo improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Surrattsville (Clinton, MD) to confront the Hornets in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Surrattsville lost 52-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Parkdale (Riverdale, MD)
Next up, the Spartans confront the Wise Pumas (Upper Marlboro, MD) in a Prince George's County 4A challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Laurel will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Pumas come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 44-41 non-league win over Roosevelt (Washington, DC).
