Kentucky High School Basketball - Walton-Verona holds off North Oldham
December 16, 2023: Goshen, KY 40026 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Walton-Verona Bearcats (Walton, KY) and the host North Oldham Mustangs (Goshen, KY), saw Walton-Verona's basketball squad hold off North Oldham by a tally of 51-47.
With the victory, Walton-Verona improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Owen County (Owenton, KY) to confront the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Owen County lost 33-18 in their recent non-league challenge against Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Presentation Toppers (Louisville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 20. North Oldham will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record.
