Maine High School Basketball - Freeport can't hold off Cape Elizabeth
December 16, 2024: Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107 Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Freeport Falcons (Freeport, ME), 63-58 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Cape Elizabeth advances its record to 1-3 on the year. The Capers travel to Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME) to face the Falcons in a B South match on Saturday, December 21. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 2-3. Mountain Valley lost 54-31 in their recent non-league match against Monmouth Academy (Monmouth, ME)
The Falcons now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Ararat for a A South match on Thursday, December 19. Freeport will face a Eagles squad coming off a 72-51 league loss to Fryeburg (Fryeburg, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 1-3.
