California High School Basketball - Palo Verde Valley thwarts Indio

December 16, 2024: Indio, CA 92201

The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA) and the host Indio Rajahs (Indio, CA), observed Palo Verde Valley's basketball team knock off Indio by a score of 60-48.

The Yellow Jackets (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Needles (Needles, CA). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 9-0 record. In their last challenge, Needles prevailed over Lincoln County (Panaca, NV), 74-38, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Rajahs encounter the San Jacinto Tigers (San Jacinto, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 26. Indio will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 70-56 non-league win over Rubidoux (Jurupa Valley, CA).
