December 16, 2024: LaGrange, IL 60525 Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Juarez Eagles (Chicago, IL), 79-25 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lyons advances its record to 3-4 on the year. The Lions host Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL) to face the Hilltoppers in a West Suburban - Silver match on Friday, December 20. The Hilltoppers enter the match with a record of 8-0. Glenbard West won 69-59 in their recent league match against Proviso West (Hillside, IL)
The Eagles now own a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chicago Tech for a Chicago Public - Blue West match on Tuesday, December 17. Juarez will face a squad coming off a 49-42 league loss to Legal Prep (Chicago, IL). The record now stands at 1-6.
