Illinois High School Basketball - Sherrard sneaks past Sterling
December 16, 2024: Sterling, IL 61081 The Sherrard Tigers basketball team scored 46 points and limited the host Sterling Golden Warriors to 42 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Monday.
The Tigers now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Riverdale for a Three Rivers - West game on Friday, December 20. Sherrard will play a Rams team coming off a 57-27 non-league win over Geneseo (Geneseo, IL). The Rams record now stands at 8-1.
With the loss, Sterling falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Golden warriors host Alleman (Rock Island, IL) to play the Pioneers in a Western Big 6 game on Friday, December 20. The Pioneers go into the game with a record of 1-8. Alleman lost 62-40 in their recent non-league game against Dixon (Dixon, IL)
