Missouri High School Basketball - Benton sneaks past Platte County
December 16, 2024: Platte City, MO 64079 The Benton Cardinals (St. Joseph, MO) basketball edged the host Platte County Pirates (Platte City, MO), 60-57 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Cardinals now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Park Hill South for a non-league bout on Friday, December 20. Benton will play a Panthers team coming off a 69-55 non-league win over Bellevue West (Bellevue, NE). The Panthers record now stands at 6-0.
With the loss, Platte County falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Pirates host Ruskin (Kansas City, MO) to play the Golden Eagles in a Freelance bout on Thursday, December 19. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-8. Ruskin lost 39-34 in their recent non-league bout against Center (Kansas City, MO)
