Oregon High School Basketball - Yoncalla can't hold off Triangle Lake
December 16, 2024: Yoncalla, OR 97499 Triangle Lake Lakers (Blachly, OR) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Yoncalla Eagles (Yoncalla, OR), 42-37 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Triangle Lake advances its record to 2-2 on the year. The Lakers travel to Umpqua Valley Christian (Roseburg, OR) to face the Monarchs in a non-league match on Wednesday, December 18. The Monarchs enter the match with a record of 1-2. Umpqua Valley Christian lost 41-33 in their recent league match against North Douglas (Drain, OR)
The Eagles now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clatskanie for a non-league match on Friday, December 20. Yoncalla will face a Tigers squad coming off a 49-20 non-league win over Portland Adventist Academy (Portland, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 3-3.
