The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL) and the visiting Belleville West Maroons (Belleville, IL), observed Lincoln's basketball team edge Belleville West by a score of 46-43.

The Railsplitters (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Springfield Southeast was tipped by MacArthur (Decatur, IL), 87-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Maroons battle the Alton Redbirds (Alton, IL) in a Southwestern challenge, on Friday, December 19. Belleville West will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record.
