Ewing Blue Devils (Trenton, NJ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Allentown Redbirds (Allentown, NJ), 71-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Ewing upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NJ) to clash with the Ravens in a Colonial Valley bout on Tuesday, January 4. The Ravens go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Redbirds clash with the West Windsor-Plainsboro North Knights (Plainsboro, NJ) in a Colonial Valley bout, on Tuesday, December 21. Allentown will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 43-38 league win over Princeton Day (Princeton, NJ).
