The Cibola Cougars basketball team (Albuquerque, NM), was nudged 43-40 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM)

The Vikings now possess a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 18. Valley will battle a Hornets team coming off a 50-39 non-league loss to Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM). The Hornets record now stands at 5-1.

The Cougars (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Bears come into the non-league battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, La Cueva edged Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM), 74-59, in a non-league battle.
