Texas High School Basketball - Mineola overwhelms Cumberland Academy
December 17, 2021: Mineola, TX 75773 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mineola Yellowjackets (Mineola, TX) and the visiting Cumberland Academy Knights (Tyler, TX), saw Mineola's basketball squad wallop Cumberland Academy by a tally of 60-27.
With the victory, Mineola improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Winnsboro (Winnsboro, TX) to confront the Raiders in a 3A Region II District 13 challenge on Monday, December 20. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 10-4. Winnsboro lost 55-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Rains (Emory, TX)
Next up, the Knights confront the Chapel Hill Bulldogs (Tyler, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 challenge, on Tuesday, December 21. Cumberland Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 49-44 non-league win over Carthage (Carthage, TX).
