Texas High School Basketball - Granbury tops University
December 17, 2021: Granbury, TX 76048 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX) and the visiting University Trojans (Waco, TX), saw Granbury's basketball squad knock off University by a count of 60-52.
With the victory, Granbury upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Liberty Hill (Liberty Hill, TX) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 27. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 13-4. Liberty Hill won 54-40 in their recent league challenge against Cedar Park (Cedar Park, TX)
Next up, the Trojans play the Corsicana Tigers (Corsicana, TX) in a 5A Region II District 14 challenge, on Tuesday, December 21. University will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 65-63 non-league win over Palestine (Palestine, TX).
