New York High School Basketball - Jefferson Central thwarts Harpursville
December 17, 2021: Jefferson, NY 12093 The Jefferson Central Jayhawks (Jefferson, NY) basketball knocked off the visiting Harpursville Hornets (Harpursville, NY), 56-47 in Friday's non-league test.
The Jayhawks (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Unatego (Otego, NY). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Unatego notched a victory over Windsor Central (Windsor, NY), 61-48, in a non-league test.
The Hornets now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Unadilla Valley for a Section 4 Midstate test on Tuesday, December 21. Harpursville will encounter a Storm squad coming off a 79-32 non-league loss to South Kortright Central (South Kortright, NY). The Storm record now stands at 0-3.
