Alabama High School Basketball - Opelika knocked off by Guntersville
December 17, 2021: Guntersville, AL 35976 The Guntersville Wildcats basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Opelika Bulldogs to 41 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.
The Wildcats now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Arab for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 4. Guntersville will battle a Knights team coming off a 60-35 non-league win over Grissom (Huntsville, AL). The Knights record now stands at 8-5.
The Bulldogs (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, AL). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Grove ran past Minor (Adamsville, AL), 41-33, in a non-league contest.
