Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC), 66-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Purnell Swett upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Rams host Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC) to play the Buccaneers in a 3A/4A Conference 22 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 2-7.

Next up, the Wonders play the Lake Norman Wildcats (Mooresville, NC) in a 4A Conference 57 bout, on Monday, December 19. A.L. Brown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 77-43 non-league win over Watauga (Boone, NC).
