Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles (Concord, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Branson Bulls (Ross, CA), 54-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Clayton Valley Charter upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Ugly Eagles travel to Castro Valley (Castro Valley, CA) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Castro Valley won 53-48 in their recent non-league bout against Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA)

Next up, the Bulls play the Novato Hornets (Novato, CA) in a Marin County bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Branson will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 56-53 non-league loss to Rancho Cotate (Rohnert Park, CA).
