Texas High School Basketball - Gilmer nips Elysian Fields
December 17, 2022: Elysian Fields, TX 75642 Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX), 60-55 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Gilmer upgrades its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Buckeyes travel to Kilgore (Kilgore, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-8.
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Jefferson Bulldogs (Jefferson, TX) in a 3A Region II District 16 bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Elysian Fields will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 63-48 non-league loss to Hooks (Hooks, TX).
