New Jersey High School Basketball - Franklin holds off Union City
December 17, 2022: Union City, NJ 07087 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Franklin Warriors (Somerset, NJ) and the host Union City Soaring Eagles (Union City, NJ), saw Franklin's basketball squad hold off Union City by a tally of 55-53.
With the victory, Franklin improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Gill St. Bernard's (Gladstone, NJ) to confront the Knights in a Skyland - Delaware challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 2-0.
Next up, the Soaring Eagles confront the St. Peter's Prep Marauders (Jersey City, NJ) in a Hudson County - American challenge, on Friday, December 23. Union City will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
