December 17, 2022: Brandywine, MD 20613 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Jackson-Reed Tigers (Washington, DC) and the host Gwynn Park Yellowjackets (Brandywine, MD), saw Jackson-Reed's basketball squad knock off Gwynn Park by a tally of 59-42.
With the victory, Jackson-Reed improves its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Cardozo (Washington, DC) to play the Clerks in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 19. The Clerks come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Cardozo lost 80-77 in their recent league challenge against Anacostia (Washington, DC)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Oxon Hill Clippers (Oxon Hill, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge, on Tuesday, December 20. Gwynn Park will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Clippers come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 58-47 league win over Potomac (Oxon Hill, MD).
